Online Bachelor of Social Work Overview

Be prepared to approach the social problems that arise in your community with the online Bachelor of Social Work from Methodist University. Our program is designed to equip you with the skills for a meaningful career supporting marginalized communities. Through the program’s specialized curriculum and dedicated faculty, you’ll understand more deeply the consequences of systemic oppression, resulting in greater understanding and practical solutions to promote social and economic justice.

Our program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and designed to develop an interdisciplinary knowledge base of social work that encompasses biology, psychology, and sociology in order to inform your decision-making when you join the field.

As a participating partner of the North Carolina Child Welfare Education Collaborative, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to best advocate for and support vulnerable children through social services. The track includes the completion of an internship, and those who satisfy these requirements are qualified to work in Child Welfare spaces after graduation.
