- GI Bill® Programs
There are a variety of GI Bill® programs that can be used by veterans, active-duty service members, spouses, and dependents. This includes the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, Forever GI Bill®, Montgomery GI Bill®, Selected Reserves GI Bill®
- Yellow Ribbon Program
Earn your degree with no out-of-pocket expense to you. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will match MU’s contribution dollar for dollar up to 50% of the difference between the student’s tuition benefit and the net cost of tuition. Our contributions are unrestricted Methodist University General Scholarship funds.
- Tuition Assistance
Eligible service members who have run out of Tuition Assistance through attendance at Methodist University are eligible to have tuition waived for up to three courses a year!
- Spouses of service members may be eligible for up to $4,000 in tuition assistance through the MYCAA program.
- GI Bill® Programs
- Reduced military pricing for active-duty, national guard and reserve component military students is $250 per semester hour for undergraduate programs
- The MU Match Military Appreciation Scholarship
- Receive college credit for your military training and professional military education or through a variety of CLEP and DANTES exams
- Military-friendly deployment, withdrawal, and refund policies
- The Methodist University Office of Veteran Services and the Fort Bragg Education Services Office help military-affiliated students determine eligibility for the variety of education benefits available and start the benefits process, apply for financial aid, and order military transcripts. They also provide resources to support other student needs.
- Student Veterans of America helps support veterans in their transition from the military to academia and into their chosen career field through a peer-to-peer network. In partnership with community organizations such as Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wounded Warrior Project, and others, the SVA-MU participates in fundraising projects to assist local and national veterans.

Enlisted personnel and non-commissioned officers who have a bachelor’s degree, commissioned officers, Department of Defense civilians, Veterans Administration employees, and military family members can enroll in one of the most beneficial degrees in the market now. Online graduate degree programs accept up to nine transfer credits.

Expand your nursing skills and prepare to teach in a variety of health care and academic settings, ranging from staff development coordinator to undergraduate classroom instructor, depending on your degree level. This program is designed to meet requirements for nursing faculty in North Carolina as regulated by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. A BSN degree is required for admission.
If you hold a bachelor’s or a master’s degree, you can take four courses to immerse yourself in the business of health care and take on leadership roles in the industry.
Designed for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree and wish to enter the field of K-12 teaching in North Carolina, graduates of this program will have completed all required licensure exams and will be eligible to apply for a North Carolina Teaching License in one of seven concentration areas.
